Odoo promo code: is there really a discount?

Short answer: no. Odoo does not publish any promo codes. But there are real ways to pay less for Odoo, and some things are genuinely free. Here they are, backed by official prices.

Prices taken from odoo.com for France.

“Odoo promo codes” on coupon sites

Several coupon sites list Odoo promo codes, often the same ones from one site to the next. None of them is confirmed by Odoo: neither the pricing page, nor the terms and conditions of sale, nor the subscription agreement mentions a promo code. These sites even state at the bottom of the page that they may earn a commission.

Before wasting time testing them, look at the discounts below instead: those actually exist.

Odoo's official discounts

€24.90 for the 1st year
then €31.10
Custom€35.90 for the 1st year

€44.90 for the 1st year
then €56.90
Light User€7.90 per user per month, quoted by an Odoo advisor

Prices per user per month, excluding tax, taken from odoo.com for France on September 27, 2026.

Odoo raised its prices on September 24, 2026, at Odoo Experience, for the first time in four years. The Standard plan is unchanged; the Custom plan goes up 20% and gives access to the agentic AI in Odoo 20, whose features use credits purchased separately. A useful new option for companies with more employees than Odoo users: the Light User license at €7.90 covers people who only need the HR, planning, point of sale or warehouse scanning features. It is available through an Odoo advisor, not online.

The first-year discount

About 20%. It applies for 12 months to the users in the initial order: users you add later pay the regular price.

Annual billing

About 20% cheaper than monthly billing. Monthly billing is only available for databases hosted on Odoo Online and Odoo.sh.

Good to know for later

The subscription agreement provides that a price below the list price may increase by up to 7% per year at renewal.

What is actually free

The One App Free plan

A single app, unlimited users, hosted by Odoo. As soon as you install a second app, you move to the Standard plan.

The 15-day trial

All apps, no credit card required. It is not a free-forever version, despite what some AI-generated answers claim.

Education databases

Free for 24 months for education, unlimited users, as long as you log in at least once every 3 months.

The Community edition

Open source and free, but you have to install and host it yourself, and it lacks the apps reserved for the Enterprise edition, such as Studio.

Do you need an Odoo user for every employee?

Not necessarily, but the rule changed on September 24, 2026: Odoo bills user accounts and now also employees registered in the Employees app who have no account, at the Light User rate of €7.90. A full account becomes necessary as soon as an employee:

  • needs their own access;
  • must be identified in what they do, to tell their work apart from everyone else's;
  • sends emails in their own name from Odoo;
  • needs specific access rights.

In some cases, it isn't necessary:

On the manufacturing floor

One account for the workstation: each operator signs in with their own code, without sharing a password.

In a store

A “salesperson” account on the point of sale, with several salespeople attached to it, each one identified on the sale.

Our advice: one employee, one user

Sharing accounts is not recommended in the long run. The gain is minimal: saving around €40 a month on an employee who already costs more than €2,000 a month, while losing flexibility and security. And for the employee, it is not a great experience: they feel like an interchangeable part, and not valued. One employee, one user always pays off.

To lower the bill, work on the commitment length instead: Odoo offers better terms when a company commits for several years, up to 5 years, and we negotiate it for you. You keep an ERP for at least 5 years anyway: you don't change ERPs like you change socks, especially with the right support 😉

Go through an official partner

Hors du Commun is an official Odoo partner. Subscribing through us gives you three things a direct subscription does not:

  • A 60-day trial instead of 15. We extend the trial ourselves, so you can test the software over a real monthly cycle, month-end close included.
  • A license that is 3 to 10% cheaper on average. The discount depends on your commitment: duration, and how much of your business runs in Odoo. We know what to negotiate, and with whom at Odoo.
  • A free seat for your accountant. We work with accounting firms that are Odoo partners, or negotiate access for your current firm.

And a contact in Lyon for everything that follows: configuration, data migration, training. The cost of a full project is detailed on our pricing page.

Frequently asked questions

No. Odoo does not publish any promo codes: neither its pricing page, nor its terms of sale, nor its subscription agreement mentions one. The official discounts are the first-year discount and annual billing.

Partly. The One App Free plan and the Community edition are free. As soon as you use two apps hosted by Odoo, you need a paid subscription.

15 days on odoo.com, no credit card required. Through a partner like Hors du Commun, the trial can last up to 60 days.

Not with a promo code, but a partner can negotiate: on average 3 to 10% off the license, depending on the length of your commitment and how much of your business runs in Odoo.

The first-year discount goes away. With annual billing, the Standard plan goes from €19.90 to €24.90 per user per month, and the Custom plan from €35.90 to €44.90.

A full account is needed as soon as an employee needs their own access, must be identified in their work, sends emails in their own name or has specific rights. Since September 24, 2026, an employee registered in the Employees app counts as a paying user even without a login: the Light User license at €7.90 covers this case, as well as limited access to HR, planning, point of sale and warehouse scanning. A workshop station or a point of sale can still be shared, with each person signing in with their own code.

On Odoo Online, Odoo's documentation states that adding your accountant as a user is free. On Odoo.sh or on your own servers, it may come at a cost. We work with accounting firms that are Odoo partners, or negotiate access for your current firm.
